How long is the drive from Kathmandu airport to Chitwan?
About 6 hours to Sauraha. Getting out of Kathmandu from the airport can add an hour at busy times, so the total depends on when you land.

What if my flight is late or immigration takes a long time?

I land in the evening. Should I drive straight to Chitwan?
Many travellers stay one night in Kathmandu and leave early the next morning, when the road is quieter and you've rested. We can pick you up from your Kathmandu hotel.
Is it better to fly on to Bharatpur?
A domestic flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur takes about 25 minutes, but you need a connection that day and a pickup at the other end. If you'd rather fly, we'll meet you at Bharatpur Airport instead.
